This week we chat with the multi-dimensional Shannon Nowak, who I originally noticed online while searching for hot models to link to. She fit the bill nicely.
It turns out she's an actress, an entrepreneur, a collector of pop culture memorabilia and a writer. If only she was a Yankees fan, I'd say she was perfect. In our interview, we chat about some of the items in her collection, find out she's seen Dumb & Dumber and discuss my underwear. (That chick has a one-track mind, I tell ya.)

1. Your site is more than just T&A, which really would have been enough for me. What else can one expect to find at Planet Shandar?
Thanks, Paul!! (I think!) My site was originally built to showcase a skin care line I've been developing for the past three years. After we put it up, a number of people wrote me and said they liked the photos of me on the site and requested more. Before I knew it, I had modeling offers, product endorsements, etc. With that response, the entire focus changed and it became a "fan" site of sorts. Now that my skin care line is just about ready to go to market, it will have a separate site!
2. What are some of the more interesting/successful ways you've promoted Planet Shandar?
The site has been promoted widely through other sites approaching me asking if they could feature me as a model on their sites. There are over 100 sites which feature me and have links to the site. We've also purchased banners and links on other sites and, of course, any print media I've done has featured the web address.
3. For $10.95 I can either order a Domino's pizza with four toppings or join your VIP area for one month. Which would leave me more satisfied?
Well, Paul, I certainly wouldn't want you to go hungry. Food for the body first, food for the soul second.
4. I see you're a big collector of pop culture memorabilia. What are some of your favorite items? Do you have any KISS stuff from the '70s?
My favorite items in my own collection center around my hero, Marilyn Monroe. I have a lock of her hair, a check signed by her, numerous rare and original photographs, a few of her personal belongings and a Family Circle magazine which was her first-ever cover as the young Norma Jeane Dougherty. I don't have any KISS items in the collection, but I did watch a recent VH-1 documentary on them, so maybe I'd like to have a pair of their outrageous stage boots in my memorabilia collection.
5. This is a two-part question ... a) In your online store, you sell costumes you've posed in. How much do you want for the whole lot?; and b) If I started a PaulKatcher.com online store, how much should I sell for the boxer shorts I wore while typing this questionnaire?
a) Well, I'm not really crazy about marketing my personal items, so I'd have to hang in there with the prices listed. The only reason that I have listed the costumes is that I have a lot of requests from fans for my panties, and that won't ever happen! A few things are still sacred. One fan wrote with an interest in a costume and wanted to know if it was washed!
b) Well, since Paul Katcher is such a hot commodity in today's market, and with the huge legend going on, I'd have to say that the boxers would be a museum item. After all, those of us who are big PK.com fans happen to know that he doesn't actually wear underwear, so if a pair of his boxers came on the market, I'd be suspicious as to their authenticity. If they were proven to be real, I'd have a hard time assigning a value. There would be so much interest that the only way to really know what they're worth is to put them in a Sotheby's auction and let the free market set the price.
6. Does Planet Shandar have a staff, and how much of your time does it demand?
The site has a staff comprised of my webmaster, me and a couple of others who contribute. I spend 10 to 15 hours a week on the site.
7. Do you remember that part in Dumb & Dumber when Mary told Lloyd that their chances of hooking up were one in a million? Would you say I have a better or worse chance of getting with you someday?
I do remember that scene. I would have to say that you would definitely have a one in a million chance with me. After all, you are Paul Katcher!
8. What are some of your favorite websites?
I like sites devoted to beauty, whether they be beauty products or sites celebrating beautiful women. I also get a big kick out of PaulKatcher.com. I mean on which other site would you find a link to a site featuring men who look like Kenny Rogers?! Now everywhere I go I find men who look like him!
9. I assume a busy gal like yourself has been to New York City, where PaulKatcher.com headquarters are located. What are your thoughts on our great city?
Believe it or not, I haven't been to New York City yet. I was in New Jersey last week, but had a busy schedule and couldn't get to NYC. There's no other place in the world I'd like to see more and I plan on getting there before year's end. I've been told that there's no other place like it.
10. I see you collect vintage issues of Playboy. What are some of the most valuable issues in your collection?
I do have a large collection. The most valuable issues feature Marilyn Monroe (which in mint condition can be worth as much as $7,000) and the issue which featured Bettie Page which is worth around $500. I have a number of issues from the 50's and all the issues from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.
11. PaulKatcher.com is updated every Sunday night. How often do visit?
I visit a couple times weekly. Whenever I need a laugh, it's where I go.
12. What's next for Planet Shandar or Shannon Nowak herself?
My biggest adventure will begin in the next 60 days or so when my skin care products come off the manufacturing line. I'll be working my butt off to promote it, sell it and spread the gospel of beautiful skin. And, it's for both men and women.
